I have worken up with swellen left anckle... I guess I went too hard on the treadmill running machine night before at the gym. I got up this morning feeling sorry for myself due to injury.

The timing could not be worse cuz on monday I have to make into the Army. After I went to hospital it turns out just torn/swellen Ligament. I can walk a little, I have to make to army. DAMM IT!

I hope resting all day today and 2moro helps swelling...

Oh yeah I noticed that nurses and doctors at this particular hospital looked very depressed, I mean come on I know you deal with sick and injured. It doesnt hurt to be bit more happy. It really made me depressed as soon as I got there... No one smiled... all bussiness. I guess seeing sick people everyday make you sick too... IMHO.
Joey over and out!

DAEWOO K2 Rifle..

Caliber: 5.56x45mm NATO (.223 Rem)Action: Gas operated, rotating boltOverall length: 980 mm (730mm w. folded stock)Barrel length: 465 mmWeigth: 3.26 kg Magazine capacity: 30 rdsRate of fire: 750 rds/min
Daewoo K1 and K2 are primary infantry weapons of the South Korean Army. These rifles replaced in service old M16A1 rifles. Technically, Daewoo K2 is a select-fire, gas driven, rotating bolt firearm. The bolt/bolt carrier assembly of the K2 is very similar to one of the M16, but with one main difference: in the place of the gas expansion chamber of the M16, K2 bolt carrier has a cut slot. In this slot is inserted the rear part of the gas rod, with gas piston attached to the forward part of the gas rod. Also, K2 does not have the recoil buffer, that could be found in almost any M16/AR15 type weapons. The receiver is of folding design (upper and lower receiver are connected via 2 steel pins, like the M16 or FN FNC receivers). Charging handle is installed on the right side of the bolt carrier. The polymer buttsock is folding (to the right side of the weapon). Gas system has 4 positions switch - one position is for rifle grenades firing (gas port is closed completely), other 3 positions - for operations in normal conditions, in adverse conditions and in extreme heat. The K1 is a cut-down, shortened version of the K2 with telescopic stock and shorter barrel. Civilan, semi-auto version of the K2 is manufactured in two calibers: 5.56x45mm (.223) and 77.62x39mm, and is named DR-200 or DR-300, respectively.
I wil be one of them soon...

Yes, Daewoo makes GUNS too :) I wonder if HOLDEN or FORD would make guns too?

4 days to go...

I've worken up with intense pain in my left anckle this morning. its very painful right now. I went hard at the gym last night, I only ran 3km but I must have pulled heart muscle and sprained it. It felt alright last night but not this morning... OUCH!

I hope my foot gets better on monday, I have alot of running and walking to do in the army. I am bit worried now. :(

I dont think I can move around too much.

anyway only 4 days to go... feels still same as any other day.

A Letter from ARMY of Republic Of Korea

I got the letter, actually more like an e-mail...
I have less than two weeks before I go into boot camp, I am going to place called NonSan. Nonsan is not that far from where I am at the moment (you can find it at google earth "Nonsan, South Korea").
I am actually going into Army Basic Training facility at Nonsan in Korean 육군훈련소 (If you dont have Korean character enabled it will show up as little squares... :) I found out that I get basic training for 5 weeks during that time I get to do pretty much everything, how to handle guns (in korea uses K1 rifle), throwing grenades and the worst of them all getting SPRAY with capsicum spray or Pepper Spray.
apparently, it is the worst part of the training. you go into the room then room is filled with tear gas, then capsicum sprayed and I should be able to wear chemical protective suit in 10 secounds, then we take off our mask stand there for 3 minutes. yeap cough coughing up tears and breakfast. ahh it will be fun... NOT
anyway this place has website, it is http://www.katc.mil.kr/ You can click on the photo (in the middle of screen) see my face when I get my picture taken later once I go there and finish up my training.
Oh yeah Today I have shaved (no not down there) my hair, its been long enough so I cut my hair today, I had to cut it short for army anyway.
I look same... last two month I have gained few kilos... I was 76kg when I left Perth
(Kimbo I miss our saturday moring run through the causeway and riverside and the Gym). now I weigh 80kg... damm it!. ahh well Army will take care of it.
anyway I do not know how I am going to cope it... but ONE THING IS FOR SURE I will...

:)DO IT WITH SMILE:)

cheers
Joey

G'day all Welcome to my New Blog...

I went moutain climbing yesterday, Garyong Maoutain.

It took us about 6 hours in total, took us 4 hours to get up there and 2 hours come down... it was hard climbing rocky road and trees.

But once we got up there the view was just manigicint. it was beutiful there.

The Autumn season right now so the trees are changing their leaves' colours.
